The core concept of Fives Ranks is being a member of a league. If you already know of a league which you want to join, then pass your game name of {{user.name}} to whomever runs that league and they can then enrol you.
Alternatively, create a league yourself! You'll be the admin and you can then enrol mates in this league once they sign up. You can run as many leagues (and seasons within) as you desire.
Also, once you know your mate's game names there is the all important "rate a mate" button. When it comes to rating someone it is anonymous so be honest in your critique. We factor these ratings into the team selector for a fixture so the more accurate any player's stats the better.

Who is the best 5 a side player amongst your mates? We've all got that mate who sticks it in the top bag and looks different class, but is he really the best player week in week out? If only there was a way to prove or test that. Welcome to Five Ranks.
We know most 5s games are a friendly kickabout between mates (all prime athletes of course), but we also know that deep down we want to know who is the best. Not just who is the best in a one off game, but who is the best long term and really makes the difference. Our league tables will tell you exactly that. We've thrown in cool features such as rating your fellow player's abilities as an added bonus.
How do those tables work? Well it's pretty simple really, standard 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. Difference is it's players getting those points. We'll even show each player's win percentage and recent form as an added insight.

Seasons are a flexible concept. Take the league where this all began, the lads playing 5s on a Sunday night. We play every Sunday and class the end of the calendar year as our season end. So we simply name our seasons 2019, 2020 and so on. (We also have an xmas night out to celebrate the title winner!)
Another example might be your mate Dave organises a couple of games a week. You might play in one, both or none some weeks. Dave could have a league name of say "Daves5s" and within that seasons of "Monday-Night" and "Friday-Night". So you could be chasing a title on two fronts!
Most 5 a side games involve splitting a bunch of mates into teams, these teams tend to change each week based on who's available/working/hungover. We let you easily pick teams and we will send out a notification to those involved. Once you've played, enter the winners and score and your league table will be instantly updated!
Shooting, tackling, passing and loads more to rate. You can also re-rate someone (perhaps they played a blinder/shocker). Our system is clever enough to find your previous rating and update it.
Nobody likes a one sided game of 5s. For that reason we put the emphasis on those that know the players to pick the teams, i.e you and your crew. There are no bots here simply dropping people into teams at random. To help you out we'll show you each team's ratings adjust as you pick players (overall, shooting, passing, defending etc). Even better, these values are all based on your stats ratings of each other so they're a true reflection and not some simple rough guide.
In every league season you'll be able to see a chart of your wins, draws and losses over the course of the season in real time. It can make some insightful viewing where those peaks and troughs are... think those first few games back after your all inclusive hols!
Everyone gets a Joker per season, playing it against a fixture will double points won in that fixture. Be careful though, a defeat with a Joker riding on it is the worst kind of defeat!
When entering a result you can optionally name a player of the match and we will give them a bonus point.
Beacons - our name for checking people's availability. Create a Beacon and everyone in your league can simply hit a button to say whether they are available, unavailable or a maybe. You've then got a ready made list of who's available to play when it comes to creating your fixture and picking teams.
They come in handy for organsing group events too. Did someone say pub?
